Job summary

Creighton University seeks a strategic leader to serve as Assistant Vice President for IT Strategic Operations & Administration. You will guide governance, budgeting, planning, and performance management to ensure technology investments align with the University's mission and goals.

As an IT Leadership Team member, you will oversee budget administration, vendor contracts, and executive reporting while driving continuous improvement and accountability across the IT organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in strategic operations, administration, organizational planning, finance, project management, or related disciplines.
• Five (5) years of supervisory leadership experience.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated success supporting executive leaders and organizational transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategic planning and ensure alignment with university priorities.
• Oversee governance frameworks, committees, and decision processes.
• Manage IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate multi-year technology investment plans and business cases.
• Oversee vendor contracts, procurement, and license management.
• Provide executive reporting and dashboards on IT performance.
• Lead organizational performance measurement and portfolio oversight.
• Support executive leadership with planning and risk management.
• Develop staff, provide supervision, and foster continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with university stakeholders to align IT with mission.
