Job summary

The City of Chandler Police Department IT Division seeks a qualified IT Chief Technology Officer to lead department-wide IT initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing public safety. This full-time, exempt role reports to the CIO and supports the Police Chief and command staff.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, strategic planning, and budget oversight experience, with a background in technology management within public safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field with major coursework in Information Systems.
• Must possess at least 8-years of recent, progressively responsible experience in project and resources management in technology.
• Must possess or be able to attain a valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Manages department-wide IT initiatives and projects.
• Provides budget oversight and strategic direction for IT programs.
• Supervises IT personnel and ensures performance alignment with organizational goals.
• Advises leadership and may serve as backup to the Director.
