Job summary

Branson Bank is seeking an IT Director to lead technology strategy and operations from Branson, MO. This full-time, onsite role oversees infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk management, and financial technology initiatives.

You will manage vendors, drive AI and automation responsibly, develop the IT team, ensure regulatory readiness (FFIEC, GLBA), and translate complex tech issues for the Board. Expect collaborative leadership and a focus on delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

• Significant IT experience in infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, and end-user support.
• Experience leading technology initiatives, projects, vendors, or employees.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and carry projects from planning through completion.
• Understanding of information security, technology risk, and banking technology expectations (FFIEC, GLBA, vendor oversight, business continuity, disaster recovery).
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to connect technology decisions to business needs, costs, risks, and results.
• Collaborative leadership and willingness to assist with day-to-day needs.
• Willingness to work onsite and build relationships with employees and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology strategy and operations; develop practical roadmaps and guide infrastructure improvements.
• Stay involved in daily support; troubleshoot issues and provide coverage.
• Strengthen cybersecurity and risk management; oversee security policies and incident preparedness.
• Support banking compliance; coordinate technology and security for regulatory examinations and audits.
• Manage vendors with a trust-but-verify approach; monitor service quality and contracts.
• Deliver technology projects from planning to implementation and follow-up.
• Champion responsible AI and automation; oversee governance and tools implementation.
• Develop the IT team; mentor employees and support professional growth.
• Communicate clearly; translate technical issues for employees, leadership, and Board.
• Contribute to the bank’s culture; be approachable and supportive.
