Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. in Sewickley, PA seeks an Information Systems Director to lead IT strategy, governance, and security across the organization. This executive role partners with the C-suite to align technology with strategic priorities and manage IT budgeting and operations.

You will chair the IT Steering Committee, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive cost-efficient, secure, scalable IT solutions that support Verland’s mission.

• Knowledge of IT practices, security administration, capacity planning, and ROI analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize Verland’s IT strategy aligned with priorities.
• Chair the IT Steering Committee and manage the technology plan.
• Advise executives on technology matters and translate needs into solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for ROI and competitive advantage.
• Prepare operating and capital budgets and optimize costs.
• Oversee capital projects and transition to new technologies.
• Lead IT department to ensure secure, reliable IT operations and SLAs.
• Develop IT governance standards and ensure data security and compliance.
• Act as Chief Security Officer for data and network security; test disaster recovery plans.
• Measure IT performance and report to leadership; implement improvements.
• Build an IT culture focused on business alignment and continuous improvement.
• Directly supervise, coach, and develop IT staff including hiring and training.
