Bernalillo County is seeking an IT Senior Manager for the Applications Group in an in-person role located at 415 Silver Ave SW. The position oversees strategic IT initiatives, budgets, and staff within the Information Technology Department, with a focus on application developments or related IT functions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/Info Systems, 10 years IT experience, and 4 years in management, offering remote and flex-work options where appropriate and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Ten (10) years of work experience in Information Technology within a complex information systems environment.
Four (4) years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

Develops strategic plans, objectives, and priorities for IT projects and sections.
Oversees budget planning and expenditure for the assigned area.
Leads and mentors project managers to ensure performance goals.
Ensures adherence to Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies across projects.
Communicates updates to senior management and stakeholders.
