Bernalillo County is seeking an IT Senior Manager for the Applications Group in an in-person role at 415 Silver Ave SW. The position oversees major technology functions, including application development and project management, with responsibility for strategic IT planning and budget oversight.

The role manages staff, develops policies, and ensures delivery of IT products and services to meet business needs. Candidates should have a strong track record in leadership and IT governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
• Ten (10) years of work experience in Information Technology within a complex information systems environment is required.
• Four (4) years in a managerial role is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic plans, objectives, and priorities for the assigned section and operational areas.
• Determines organizational structure, staffing needs, and work strategies for the assigned section and operational areas.
• Provides overall direction for day-to-day activities in the assigned section and operational areas.
• Develops and administers the annual budget for the assigned section and operational areas; approves and tracks expenditures.
• Supervises and directs the work of professional, technical, and other employees; ensures resources meet objectives.
