Job summary

ON.energy is seeking an Associate to join the Corporate Development team, reporting to the Head of Investment Finance. This hybrid role works with senior leadership on capital formation, M&A, board and investor materials, and corporate strategy as ON.energy scales across energy transition and digital infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of investment banking analyst experience with live deal exposure.
• Strong technical skills to build three-statement, DCF, LBO/returns, and merger models from scratch.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience producing board- and investor-ready materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable with senior executives and investors.

Responsibilities

• Support capital formation end to end: investor targeting, diligence, negotiation, and close.
• Build and maintain models, valuation analyses, and capitalization tables for financing decisions.
• Prepare investor materials, teasers, management presentations, and financial projections; manage data rooms and diligence.
• Coordinate with external advisors and manage investor pipeline and relationships.
• Source, screen, and evaluate acquisition targets and strategic partnerships; perform DCF, comps, and synergy analyses.
• Lead diligence and coordinate third-party advisors through execution.
• Prepare board presentations and investor updates; present to executive leadership; track key metrics for leadership and the board.
• Identify new growth opportunities, market sizing, and strategic partnerships across energy storage, power infrastructure, and data center power.
