Job summary

Seminole-Electric's Spring Hill facility seeks a Procurement & Inventory Control Technician to manage warehouse operations, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy. You will work with accounts payable and purchasing to resolve cost center issues and ensure proper stocking and data reporting.

Responsibilities include receiving, storing, issuing, and transferring materials, operating forklifts, developing inventory reports, and training staff on warehouse practices while maintaining safety and DOT

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• A.A. Degree in Materials Management or related business field preferred.
• CPIM certification offered through APICS is preferred.
• 3+ years inventory control/warehousing experience desired.
• Experience with inventory control and planning software.
• Ability to identify spare parts by stock codes and determine safety/efficacy of items.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, issues and transfers equipment, materials, tools, and spare parts.
• Operates forklifts and related equipment; conducts safety checks and documents issues.
• Loads/unloads materials for on-site and off-site storage.
• Develops inventory reports and performs cycle counts.
• Prepares materials for outbound shipment and ensures proper labeling per DOT rules.
• Determines disposition of obsolete/overstock material.
• Trains personnel on warehouse practices and procedures.
• Maintains inventory management procedures and safety compliance.
