Job summary

Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Procurement & Inventory Control Technician to ensure accurate inventory, proper receiving and distribution of parts, and safe warehouse operations across the SHCCF facilities.

You will work closely with accounts payable and purchasing to resolve cost, quantity, and pricing issues while maintaining organized storage and cycle counts. The role requires forklift operation, safety compliance, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; AA degree preferred.
• CPIM certification preferred.
• A minimum of three (3) years inventory control/warehousing experience is desired.
• Experience with inventory control and planning software.
• Must be able to identify spare parts and material by stock codes.
• Must be capable of identifying parts and equipment and determining which are no longer safe or effective.
• Knowledge of bin and pallet system locations in an industrial/utility environment.
• Skilled in safe operation of forklifts up to 10-ton capacity; familiar with related tools.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, issues and transfers equipment, materials, tools, and spare parts.
• Operates forklifts and material handling equipment; performs daily safety checks.
• Loads/unloads material for on-site/off-site staging and storage locations.
• Develops and performs inventory reports.
• Stages over-shipments, incorrect shipments, and damaged material for vendor pickup.
• Prepares materials for outbound shipment; checks labeling and DOT compliance.
• Disposes obsolete or overstock material; processes related transactions.
• Trains plant personnel on warehouse practices and procedures.
