Job summary

Halliburton Energy Services seeks an Inventory Planner to optimize inventory levels and support supply chain operations in Houston. You will analyze data, drive corrective actions, and coordinate with Demand Planners and Operations to improve forecast accuracy.

The role requires a background in materials management with ERP experience and strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills. Travel and cross-functional collaboration with vendors are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a 2 year degree.
• 6 years related experience in materials management including procurement or logistics or a 4 year degree plus 2 years related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred and 2+ years in inventory planning, supply chain, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Optimize inventory to balance per business outlook.
• Perform inventory analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with Demand Planners & Operations to improve forecast alignment.
• Use data and inventory planning tools (e.g., SAP, CCH Tagetik) to drive exception-based planning.
• Contribute to standardized processes and continuous improvement.
• Place orders and collaborate with vendors to reduce lead times, create stocking strategies, mitigate past dues and stockouts.
