Job summary

HD Supply seeks an Inventory Analyst to optimize product availability and balance across multiple locations. You will analyze field inventory levels to identify excesses, opportunities for repositioning, and better utilization to reduce aged inventory.

You will partner with purchasing, supply chain, and field leadership to implement data-driven disposition decisions, forecast demand, and monitor trends to minimize risk of obsolescence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in inventory, supply chain or operations.
• Advanced use of SAP, JDA, Tableau, and/or Microsoft Office.
• Prior knowledge of Oracle R12 purchasing system and vendor agreements to understand return processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes inventory data and makes decisions regarding aged inventory reduction.
• Monitors exception reports and daily analytics for aged inventory business metrics; reviews and reports time sensitive exposure to the field to move product prior to expiration.
• Pairs with purchasing to align disposition of inventory and data updates; analyzes and communicates impacts of changes to affected teams.
• Partners with departments on disposition and retirement of aged products.
• Maintains supplier relations, addresses supplier returns, and aligns with purchasing on future inventory requirements; ensures vendor agreements for returns are in order.
• Analyzes trends and reports excess inventory to the field; collaborates with analysts to maintain regional consistency.
• Creates statistical forecasts and identifies risks of inventory on hand; recommends disposition of inventory reserved at 100%.
• Executes projects assigned by the field leadership team.
