Job summary

National Pride Equipment Carwash Superstore in Mansfield, Ohio is seeking a strategic Inventory Manager to lead inventory operations across our warehouse, manufacturing cells, service areas, and satellite locations.

This role drives inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits, implements Kanban for just‑in‑time replenishment, and collaborates with procurement to manage VMI programs while prioritizing safety and sustainability in a multi‑location environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years in inventory management in distribution/manufacturing environments.
• Experience implementing lean principles and Kanban in manufacturing or assembly.
• Proven leadership of warehouse, inventory, and logistics teams.
• Familiarity with ERP/inventory systems; advanced Excel; RF Smart/NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory management across all locations and product lines (chemicals, parts, supplies).
• Lead and develop Warehouse Manager, Inventory Specialists, and Delivery Drivers.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to achieve >98% accuracy.
• Drive Lean improvements in picking, receiving, put-away, and replenishment.
• Design and maintain Kanban systems for JIT replenishment and minimize excess inventory.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to manage VMI programs for hardware and high-frequency items.
• Monitor stock levels, turnover, obsolete items, and forecast needs with sales and service teams.
• Analyze inventory data and KPIs to support budgeting and cost-reduction goals.
• Enforce safety, OSHA/EPA compliance, and SDS management for hazardous materials.
• Identify sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and packaging.
• Evaluate and support inventory tech implementations (barcode/RFID, alerts, WMS).
• Coordinate urgent parts fulfillment and rush orders to minimize downtime.
