Job summary

Steffes is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to plan, coordinate, and optimize the flow of purchased and manufactured goods. You will partner with sales, services, manufacturing, shipping, and logistics to ensure inventory availability and drive continuous improvement in line with safety and quality standards.

The role focuses on inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and supplier-related corrective actions while maintaining efficient material flow across the distribution network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years experience in materials, inventory, procurement, planning, or logistics.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office; strong math skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good written/verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; travel <10%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate physical and electronic/ERP inventory levels to prevent disruptions.
• Monitor inventory requirements and initiate replenishment.
• Create and manage purchase orders aligned with demand and procedures.
• Coordinate intercompany transfers between distribution yard and remote locations.
• Support planning for site assembly and value-added operations.
• Manage cycle counts and ABC classifications as directed.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor negative inventory reports and resolve root causes.
• Assist with year-end inventory activities and reconciliations.
• Set up and maintain warehouse structures and bin locations in ERP.
