Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to coordinate the movement of inventory across IBJI facilities and manage purchasing, item additions, substitutions, and reorder points. You will ensure deliveries meet operational needs and maintain accurate records.

The role requires 1–2 years in inventory control, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), and strong communication and organizational skills with proficiency in common computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and purchase supplies to avoid stockouts
• Determine appropriate inventory levels for each item and for other units
• Communicate issues with Purchasing Manager in a timely manner
• Coordinate disposal of outdated items
• Issue requisitions for needed supplies
• Identify substitute items and changes to inventory
• Create/modify item records and inventory templates
• Maintain records and files and generate reports
• Ensure correct labeling and shelving across locations
• Support policy changes for new item additions and procedures
