Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for an Inventory Control Manager I to provide senior leadership, direction and strategy for the Inventory Control team to execute the service agreement with the client. You will develop customer relationships, drive continuous improvement and lead initiatives for inventory control and planning.

The role requires knowledge of major WMS/SAP systems, cross-functional leadership, and a track record of delivering operational excellence in inventory management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4 years Inventory Control experience
• 3+ years logistics industry experience
• 3+ years management experience (unit pick environment, large company preferred)
• 1+ years client relationship, staff mgmt & objective setting experience
• Staff management & Objective Setting
• Metric development and reporting across cross functional leadership
• Knowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to the audience

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership, direction and strategy for the Inventory Control team to meet service level agreements with the client.
• Develop and progress key customer relationships and operational partnerships.
• Establish strategic direction for supply chain initiatives around Inventory Control and Inventory Planning.
• Develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with inventory control.
• Analyze data and determine methods for inventory control management.
• Ensure adherence to Inventory Control KPI outlined in the commercial agreement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4 years Inventory Control experience

3+ years logistics industry experience

3+ years management experience
