Job summary

University of North Texas is seeking an Internship Coordinator to organize and manage internship programs and events for assigned colleges, partnering with faculty and staff to support internship procedures and credits. You will promote services to students, expand the Career Treks Job Shadowing program, and strengthen industry relationships with companies recruiting UNT students.

You will work with academic counselors and department chairs to ensure internships meet departmental requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience.
• Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops.
• Ability to communicate and work with the population; strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with corporate and nonprofit internship coordinators/recruiters to ensure UNT students are considered for internships and complete internship tasks.
• Provide programming (workshops/trainings) and guidance to students to navigate internship processes.
• Collaborate with Department Chairs and faculty to develop/manage formal internship programs aligned with UNT's academic structure.
• Deliver marketing to students and campus to promote internship and job shadowing participation.
• Manage assessment and data collection of internships and deliver reports to campus about results for assigned colleges.
• Assist in outreach and management of Career Treks Job Shadowing program.
