Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a qualified finance and accounting consultant to support a homeland security agency and related national security programs in Springfield, VA. The role focuses on evaluating internal controls, ICOFR, and audit readiness, while collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, at least six years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.
• Experience with OMB Circular A-123, internal controls over financial reporting, and audit liaison is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and in client-facing discussions.

Responsibilities

• Support internal control planning and ICOFR assessments.
• Provide audit liaison support to facilitate the financial statement audit process.
• Develop and maintain digital tools to enable audit activities.
• Assist in risk management, including maintaining the agency's financial risk register and fraud risk assessments.
• Support business development activities and knowledge sharing.
