The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) seeks an Internal Communications Manager in Washington, DC to lead internal communications strategy, editorial planning, and analytics for 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff.

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, you will manage content across newsletters, intranet, and surveys, aligning with CAO priorities and delivering clear, engaging messaging to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 6 years in a marketing/communications role on Capitol Hill, with an ad agency or communications dept.
• Experience with stakeholder relations, internal/external communications, and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes comprehensive communications plans aligned with CAO goals.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to initiate new communications initiatives.
• Drafts newsletters and internal outreach campaigns.
• Tracks email metrics and surveys to measure impact and advise leadership.
• Oversees intranet and external sites for timely, accurate content.
• Coordinates with design teams to align projects and deadlines.
• Plans internal meetings and proofreads communications for diverse audiences.
