Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks an Executive Communications Specialist to lead strategic internal communications supporting the Space Development Agency mission. This role develops plans, messaging, and programs to align employee understanding with agency priorities.

Under the Director of Strategic Engagement, you will translate complex concepts into clear, human-centered storytelling and measure campaign effectiveness while collaborating across senior leaders and functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of recent and relevant experience.
• BA in English, communication, marketing, or similar.
• Experience in executive communication, communication planning, and/or public relations at the executive level.
• Demonstrated ability to develop internal communication strategies in a complex or matrixed organization.
• Familiar with AP Style.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to create cohesive communication products.
• Familiar with SharePoint or other intranet sites used to share information.
• Ability to write and create messages quickly and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate through various channels and assess impact.
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization.
• TS/SCI eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob.
• Experience in DoD or another executive agency is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive strategic internal communication plans aligned with business priorities.
• Consolidate and present key agency information across internal platforms and channels.
• Create internal/executive communication plans to raise awareness of key info and messaging.
• Develop messages and talking points for SDA leadership and implement across channels.
• Translate complex acquisition strategies into clear, human-centered storytelling.
• Collaborate with enterprise units to gather information for internal audiences.
• Analyze internal campaigns for effectiveness against audience needs.
• Enhance intranet/SharePoint user experience to promote SDA mission and successes.
• Coordinate with senior leaders to draft product development messages and talking points.
• Produce clear internal communication across emails, web features, articles, and speeches.
• Tailor messages for current and prospective employees, aligned with strategic plans.
• Coordinate logistics and messaging for internal SDA events and meetings.
• Collaborate with leadership to craft messages that drive engagement and cultural alignment.
• Develop initiatives to gather employee feedback and enable two-way communication.
