Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks an Executive Communications Specialist to develop strategic internal communication plans and messaging for SDA leadership. You will translate complex concepts into clear, human-centered storytelling and coordinate across intranet, email, and events.

Under the Director of Strategic Engagement, you will align communications with business priorities, improve employee understanding, and reinforce agency culture in a fast-paced DoD environment.

Qualifications

• At least five years of recent and relevant experience.
• BA in English, communication, marketing, or similar.
• Experience in executive communication, communication planning, and/or public relations at the executive department/service component/agency level.
• Experience developing internal communication strategies in a complex or matrixed organization.
• Familiar with AP Style writing.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to develop cohesive communication products.
• Familiar with SharePoint (or other intranet sites).
• Ability to write and create messages quickly and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• TS/SCI eligibility required; #qinetiqclearedjob
• Experience working within the DoD or another executive agency is required.

• Develops and drives strategic internal communication plans that align with business priorities.
• Consolidates and presents key agency information for internal platforms and channels.
• Develops internal/executive communication plans to promote awareness and culture.
• Creates messages and talking points for SDA leadership across channels.
• Translates complex acquisition strategies into plainspoken storytelling.
• Collaborates to gather information for internal audiences in a user-friendly way.
• Analyzes internal campaigns for effectiveness and audience needs.
• Identifies and enhances communication channels including intranet/SharePoint.
• Assists senior leaders with product development messaging and talking points.
• Produces clear internal communications across email, web features, and articles.
• Tailors messages for current and prospective employees; coordinates with strategic plans.
• Coordinates with executive admin for internal SDA events and messaging.
• Collaborates with leadership to deliver messages that drive engagement and culture.
• Develops initiatives to gather employee feedback and promote two-way communication.
