Job summary

NYCM Insurance is seeking an Internal Audit Plan Manager to oversee the annual audit plan, assign resources, and guide staff through planning and executing engagements in line with IA&C policies and IIA standards.

The role advocates risk-based planning, quality review of programs, and collaboration with management to ensure audit findings are understood and acted upon. Hybrid work includes in-office days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage completion of the internal audit plan and assign resources.
• Develop the annual internal audit plan using a risk-based approach.
• Provide guidance for audit and advisory engagements.
• Review and approve engagement programs for quality and objectives.
• Review workpapers and reports for compliance with IA&C standards.
• Present audit results to business unit management and secure acceptance.
• Coach and mentor staff in IA&C policies and practices.
• Prepare materials for audit committee meetings.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and metrics for reporting to executives.
