Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to support the Senior VP and IA Director in annual audit testing and related activities. This role is based in New Jersey with a hybrid schedule.

You will oversee audits, manage multiple engagements, and contribute to data analytics initiatives while maintaining independence and objectivity across local, regional, and global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2–5 years of progressive external/internal audit experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, MAR, COSO
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective project management and organizational abilities
• Proven team management skills and ability to drive consensus
• Excellent interpersonal skills with all management levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Assess departmental needs and assist in annual audit planning and department activities
• Develop or improve internal audit policies, procedures, and programs
• Build relationships with local, regional, and global leaders
• Oversee testing of internal controls over financial reporting for NAIC Model Audit Rule compliance
• Plan and execute audits including scoping, fieldwork, and reporting
• Manage multiple audit engagements with a value-add focus
• Contribute to continuous data analytics in audit procedures
• Lead special projects as requested by management
• Stay current on auditing guidance, accounting standards, and best practices
