Job summary

The Western Union Company is seeking a Strategic Intelligence Analyst for a hybrid role in Atlanta. The incumbent will join the FIU's Typology Investigations & Strategic Analysis team to analyze global threats and AML/TF typologies, supporting risk programs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong data skills (SQL, Python, ETL), and the ability to present complex analyses to senior leaders. Hybrid work with in-office collaboration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 1+ years of relevant experience in intelligence analysis, law enforcement, financial crime, or related fields.
• Experience constructing analytic judgments based on incomplete information and articulating confidence levels.
• Comfort working with large datasets; familiarity with SQL, Python, or ETL tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track, evaluate, and model global threat evolution using big-data tools and all-source analytics.
• Query, integrate, and analyze large datasets using ETL, analytics, and visualization tools.
• Develop narrative reports, presentations, and visual analyses to communicate findings.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and regulatory partners to exchange threat intelligence and identify risks.
• Brief senior leadership on high-threat issues and provide bespoke research to stakeholders.
