Job summary

The Western Union Company is seeking a Senior Specialist, AML Compliance in Denver, CO, to join the FIU within Global Compliance. You will monitor and analyze potentially unusual money transfer activity, document findings, and escalate regulatory concerns in coordination with global FIU teams.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in AML compliance or BSA, familiarity with SharePoint, LexisNexis, Tableau, and MS Office, and readiness to work in a hybrid setting three days per week.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in AML compliance or Bank Secrecy Act.
• 1+ years of experience with open-source online tools.
• 1+ years of MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Lexis Nexis (or similar), Tableau or applicable Western Union systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of transactions from automated alerts to identify potential money laundering and related risks.
• Take risk mitigation steps including reporting suspicious or unusual activity as required by AML laws or internal procedures.
• Document and/or refer cases for further investigation.
• Collaborate with global teams within FIU and support projects/non-standard tasks.
• Participate in team activities such as huddles, problem solving, and training.
