Job summary

Wellington Management in Toronto seeks an experienced Relationship Manager to build and maintain strong client relationships with institutional clients in Canada. You will partner with the Director of Canada and BD Manager on shared accounts, lead engagements, and address investment goals and servicing needs.

You will drive client retention, defend key relationships, and support cross-selling efforts while onboarding new accounts and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the investment industry.
• Solid understanding of institutional clients' needs in Canada.
• Willingness to travel to support client meetings and conferences.
• Broad asset management knowledge across asset classes.
• Ability to communicate market insights and represent fixed income, equity and asset allocation portfolios.
• Entrepreneurial, self-starting and capable of leading client engagements.
• Proactive learner with strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements with clients to understand investment and servicing needs and host client meetings.
• Analyze performance data, investment characteristics, and risk profiles of client portfolios.
• Onboard new client accounts and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address client issues and opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to create efficiencies and support internal initiatives.
