Job summary

DREAM in New York City is seeking a Manager of Institutional Giving to manage a $7M grants portfolio and drive fundraising toward a $20M private philanthropy goal.

You will lead grant writing, portfolio tracking in Salesforce, and collaboration with data, finance, and program teams; plan donor visits, briefings, and proposals. The team works in a hybrid model with a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years grant writing experience with a proven track record of securing institutional gifts.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills and ability to tailor materials for diverse audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Experience with Salesforce and knowledge of NYC education philanthropy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and submit 20+ grant proposals and reports aligned with funder priorities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline grant operations and maintain records in Salesforce.
• Identify and research new funding prospects monthly and present recommendations to leadership.
• Manage portfolio of institutional funders and track renewals, gifts, and progress toward revenue goals.
• Plan donor visits, briefings, and events to showcase impact and needs.
