Dow Jones Energy is seeking an Associate Director - Strategic Insights to lead a small team of analysts in producing long-term market forecasts for the chemical industry. You will collaborate with product experts worldwide to deliver integrated forecasts, written publications, and client-ready analytics.

The role requires 10+ years in petrochemicals, strong Excel/VBA skills, and experience with Python and Power BI.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ petrochemical industry experience
• Ability to identify and articulate core/essential issues within complex problems and deliver insights and solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced knowledge of Excel (including VBA scripting)
• Prior people management and/or research publishing experience (a plus)
• Python knowledge and Power BI experience (a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Economics, related disciplines -OR - post-graduate academic work in a technical field -OR - equivalent work experience

Responsabilités

• Apply your technical understanding of the chemical industry to support long-term supply/demand forecast updates
• Translate forecast shifts into commercial insights for the world's leading chemical producers
• Manage data and content updates with global product experts and publication analyst team
• Ensure the timely delivery of commercial products to clients
• Serve as a technical liaison for clients subscribing to our long-term chemical market publications and data analytics services
• Assist with the development of new commercial products and enhancements of existing commercial products
• Contribute to related publications and consulting projects
• Stay abreast of global market and technology developments in the product area
• Manage a small team of analysts performing similar functions
