Dow Jones Energy is seeking an Associate Director - Consulting to lead bespoke research projects across energy, feedstocks, olefins, plastics, and more. You will own execution, client relationships, and mentor the consulting team from Houston.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in energy or petrochemical consulting, strong project management, and deep industry knowledge. Travel and business development are part of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years’ experience in a commercial or techno-economic role in energy, refining or petrochemical industry or market consultancy.
• Proven track record in leading consulting or similar projects.
• Deep understanding of energy and petrochemicals business, industry structure, production technologies, markets and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Own projects executed from Houston and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage consultancy project team, including members from other regions.
• Use internal and external SME for in-depth analysis.
• Support consulting directors and senior management in project implementation.
• Mentor analysts and consulting team to complete tasks.
• Interface with clients and present study findings.
• Participate in business development and proposal writing.
• Engage in resource planning, performance appraisal and recruiting processes.
• Contribute to team discussions as a knowledgeable stakeholder.
• Travel on an ad-hoc basis.

Education

B.Sc./B.Eng./B.Tech. in chemical engineering, chemistry, related discipline -OR- equivalent work experience

Postgraduate degree in science or business management
