Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma with minimum 2 years related experience preferred.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to complete tasks (margins).
• Use sound judgment, listening and problem solving to analyze customer problems and recommend actions.
• Product and application knowledge essential.
• PC proficiency for data entry and utilization of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to process orders and inquiries, quote prices, provide delivery specs and payment terms, and offer substitute products where applicable.
• Develop new and current customer accounts by marketing product lines and offering value-added services and availability information.
• Maintain current customer information including sales contracts, bonded inventory requirements, contract terms and other pertinent account details; process telephone orders quoting product, prices, delivery specs and payment terms; negotiate quotes based on volume and marketplace profitability.
