Job summary

Kean University in New Jersey seeks a Managing Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives to lead and develop programming within the Office of Strategic and Global Initiatives. You will oversee cross-functional projects and manage partnerships, promoting strategic collaborations and innovative programs.

Under the Vice President, you will coordinate national and international initiatives, including the Wenzhou-Kean collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with two years of relevant professional experience in strategic planning or program management.
• Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Education or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects from planning through evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead initiatives to support the university’s mission and values.
• Oversee partnerships with external organizations and manage program operations.
• Support planning, logistics and operations for international initiatives (e.g., Wenzhou-Kean University).
• Travel as required and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
