ADP, Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel – Business Unit & Strategic Initiatives in Parsippany, NJ or Miami, FL. The role partners with business leaders and the legal team to shape strategy, mitigate risk, and support business outcomes across ADP.

You will be a trusted advisor on payroll tax, risk management, and compliance, collaborating across ADP’s legal and business units to address complex issues and simplify guidance for non-legal audiences.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and US bar admission required.
• 8+ years legal experience; mix of in-house and law firm preferred.
• Experience in payroll tax, outsourcing, fintech, or business services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted legal advisor on strategy, risk and compliance across ADP business units.
• Resolve disputes, negotiate settlements, and minimize risk with focus on employer/employee tax matters.
• Support payroll tax escalation management and develop risk frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to back operations, marketing and compliance initiatives.
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes and translate complex issues for non-legal audiences.
• Build trusted relationships across legal and business teams at all levels.
