ADP in Parsippany, NJ or Miami, FL is seeking a Senior Counsel focused on Business Unit & Strategic Initiatives. You will advise senior leaders on legal strategy, risk, and compliance, partnering across legal and business teams to support payroll tax initiatives and outsourcing projects.

The role requires strong negotiation, clear guidance for non-legal audiences, and the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization while upholding high ethical standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and admission to a U.S. state bar.
• 8+ years’ legal experience, ideally in-house and/or law firm.
• Experience with payroll tax, outsourcing, fintech, or business services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders and legal colleagues on legal strategy, risk, and compliance across ADP business units.
• Resolve and manage disputes, negotiate settlements, and minimize risk, with a strong focus on employer and employee tax matters and outsourcing issues.
• Partner with colleagues across ADP’s legal department and business units to support payroll tax escalation management and develop risk-reducing frameworks for ADP and its clients.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business and legal teams to support operations, marketing, and compliance initiatives.
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes impacting ADP and drive solutions to meet evolving requirements.
• Simplify complex legal issues for non-legal audiences and help shape business decisions.
