Job summary

Reser's Fine Foods, headquartered in Beaverton, OR, seeks a Category Manager- Purchasing to lead domestic and international ingredient sourcing. You will develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage risk across procurement, R&D, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced food production environment.

The role requires strong negotiation, project management, and forecasting skills, with responsibility for ensuring compliant documentation and cost-effective sourcing across Reser’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years in purchasing, procurement, ingredient sourcing, category management, or supplier management in corporate food manufacturing/CPG.
• Experience sourcing food ingredients domestically and internationally.
• Experience with R&D, Food Safety, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and plant purchasing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned ingredient categories (domestic and international).
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new ingredient suppliers to support cost savings and supply continuity.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations to meet product requirements.
• Lead RFQs, RFPs, bid analysis, and supplier comparisons for total value.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and lead times with suppliers.
• Provide forecasts, usage projections, market updates, and risk assessments.
