Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Specialist to lead planning, scheduling, and performance management across complex capital programs. You will shape scheduling strategy, partner with design and construction teams, and drive reliable forecasting and governance.

In this role, you will implement robust CPM processes, manage WBS/CBS structures, and provide executive-ready reporting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project controls and time/schedule management.
• Experience supporting design and construction project management for medium-to-large capital programs.
• Strong knowledge of critical path method scheduling, schedule health analysis, and schedule risk identification.
• Ability to analyze EPC plans and schedules, identify trends, and clearly communicate mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to self‑direct, solve problems, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced project environment.
• Data center design and construction delivery experience.
• Proficient and expert experience using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Acumen Suite).
• Schedule risk analysis experience and familiarity with related planning tools.
• Experience supporting executive reporting, recovery planning, or schedule governance in complex capital programs.
• Organized and detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• You’ll develop and implement the project planning and scheduling controls strategy, including roles for both BP and contractors.
• You’ll adhere to financial, business, and project processes across all project stages.
• You’ll provide schedules to support accurate estimating, benchmarking, and interface planning.
• You’ll coordinate internal and external schedule benchmarks and ensure readiness for future phases.
• You’ll prepare and manage the WBS/CBS in collaboration with the Cost Engineer.
• You’ll implement and monitor detailed and summary schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
• You’ll develop and integrate schedule risk analysis and mitigation plans into the risk and change processes.
• You’ll establish a project-wide progress measurement and reporting system with clear roll‑up structures.
• You’ll generate and present schedule reports and project updates to relevant stakeholders.
• You’ll support project closeout planning and perform other duties as assigned.
• With all our roles, there is some in‑person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities.
