Job summary

CV Resources partners with a large medical device manufacturer to seek a Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing in Libertyville, IL. The role leads complex category management, strategic sourcing, supplier performance, stakeholder engagement, and governance activities to create value across cost, quality, service, risk, innovation, and compliance.

This position is based in Libertyville, IL with an onsite requirement of 4 days in the office weekly and requires collaboration with global stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience developing and executing complex category strategies.
• Experience leading supplier negotiations and governance.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and support cross-functional/global initiatives.
• Knowledge of procurement policy, contracting, supplier risk, total cost analysis, and P2P processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute category strategies for complex spend categories.
• Lead sourcing strategy and execution, including RFx events, negotiations, and implementation planning.
• Partner with cross-functional and global stakeholders to align category plans with budgets and requirements.
• Lead supplier governance, including performance reviews, issue escalation, and continuous improvement discussions.
• Provide procurement guidance and mentor peers on category and supplier management practices.
• Guide cross-functional projects and process designs to enable procurement goals.
