Job summary

Conduent is seeking a Strategic Buyer to manage negotiations, sourcing, and end-to-end commodity management for indirect purchasing. The role interfaces with manufacturing, quality, engineering, finance, purchasing, legal and IT across regions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of negotiating and contracting experience and proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools. Travel and flexible working are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in procurement, accounting, business or engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in negotiating, sourcing and contracting.
• Experience with indirect purchasing commodities is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and SAP.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills; negotiation skills demonstrated.
• Travel ability and flexible working expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage key suppliers using end-to-end commodity management for indirect purchasing.
• Optimize cost savings via bidding, eAuctions, catalogs, blanket contracts and analytics.
• Meet cost savings targets and KPI delivery.
• Route low-value and emergency PRs with Transactional Purchasing Services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop commodity knowledge and sourcing tactics.
• Follow Purchasing Sourcing Process from RFQ to supplier selection, contracts/PO issuance.
• Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
• Resolve commercial issues with suppliers; provide coordination for other buyers.
