Job summary

Bechtel in New Albany, OH is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the formation and administration of purchase orders for multiple projects. You will prepare bidders’ lists, qualify bidders, issue bid requests, and coordinate with engineering and suppliers to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience (or 6–9 years) in procurement.
• Knowledge of procurement practices, terms, and supplier management for indirect goods and services.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bidders’ lists and qualifies bidders.
• Coordinates with Engineering on material requisitions for procurement.
• Forms bid packages and issues bid requests; receives bids.
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations to award.
• Communicates with suppliers to define requirements and assure PO compliance.
• Initiates and processes PO changes affecting scope, cost, and schedule.
