Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a Category Buyer within General Procurement to lead indirect procurement in North America. You will drive market intelligence, manage sourcing lifecycle, and lead cross-functional projects while ensuring ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in procurement, with PM/Purchasing certifications preferred. Domestic/international travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering or related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages desirable (French/German/Spanish).
• Minimum seven years in Procurement or related functions; higher responsibility assumed over time.
• Certifications in project management or purchasing (PMP/CPP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Category Management & Market Intelligence: develop regional strategies and supplier mapping.
• End-to-End Sourcing: lead tendering, negotiations, and contract implementation.
• Team Leadership: provide coaching to less experienced members.
• Procurement Tools Expert: ensure compliance with GP processes and leverage ERP systems.
