Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama seeks a Project Buyer (Contract) to manage tendering projects, ensure visibility of contractual and spend data, and drive the transition from tendering to operational ordering with Buyers and internal customers.

The ideal candidate has five+ years in procurement, strong project management, and a BA/Engineering degree. Fluency in English is required; multinational, team leadership and negotiation skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of procurement experience with an increasingly higher level of authority and accountability.
• Involvement in some fashion with the procurement organisation may be able to be considered “years of experience” on a case-by-case basis.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of additional functions including: finance, operations, negotiation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated effectiveness as a participant and leader on a work-focused team.
• Experience working in a manufacturing organisation or a similar quality-focused manufacturing organisation is highly desirable.
