Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in the United States seeks a Category Buyer within the North America General Procurement organization to lead indirect procurement for the Local Operation commodity, driving compliance with GP processes and cross-functional project management.

You will shape regional sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and oversee end-to-end sourcing and contracts, requiring seven years in procurement, fluency in English, and PMP/CPP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering or related field.
• Fluent English; multiple languages desirable.
• Minimum seven years in procurement or related functions.
• Certifications in project management or purchasing preferred (e.g., PMP, CPP).

Responsibilities

• Strategic Category Management & Market Intelligence: develop regional market strategies aligned with global objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Provide leadership and coaching to team members.
• Drive procurement process compliance and use ERP tools effectively.
• Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
