Job summary

Daikin Comfort seeks a Commodity Manager to oversee indirect material categories in support of HVAC operations. You will shape voice of the customer, develop and execute category strategies, and align them with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, IT and Finance.

Lead supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive quarterly business reviews and cost-down initiatives. Responsibilities include guiding a team of buyers, building category playbooks, and delivering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Commodity Management or Strategic Sourcing role, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of leadership experience is required.
• Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies for assigned categories.
• Provide direction and guidance to a team of buyers; foster a results-oriented environment.
• Lead the commercial strategy in preparing for commercial negotiations.
• Maintain ownership of supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and QBRs.
• Develop category strategy documents and 3–5 year growth playbooks.
• Create and support a pipeline of cost-saving projects for year-over-year productivity.
• Report weekly on cost-down projects and manage supplier contracts execution.
• Support global synergy efforts for the Indirect materials organization.
