Job summary

CIMA+ seeks an experienced professional to strengthen Indigenous Relations and Defence capabilities across Ontario and nationally. The role focuses on building trusted relationships, identifying opportunities, and connecting client needs with multidisciplinary consulting services.

You will work within Earth & Environment, collaborating across CIMA+ to pursue Defence, federal opportunities, and strategic pursuits while delivering projects that integrate Indigenous knowledge and perspectives.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in Indigenous Relations, environmental services, consulting, mining, infrastructure, government, defence, community relations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience developing trusted relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses, clients, partners, or stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Indigenous consultation, engagement, partnerships, procurement, or benefits planning.
• Experience supporting complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
• Strong business development and client relationship-management capabilities.
• Ability to identify opportunities and connect client needs with multidisciplinary consulting services.
• Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work across different sectors, disciplines, and geographies.
• Collaborative approach grounded in integrity, respect, and long-term relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain meaningful, respectful relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations, businesses, clients, and partners.
• Advise project and pursuit teams on Indigenous engagement, consultation, partnerships, procurement, and community considerations.
• Support development and implementation of Indigenous engagement strategies, Benefits Plans, and community approaches.
• Strengthen CIMA+'s position with DND, DCC, federal agencies, and other strategic clients.
• Identify and develop Indigenous Relations and Defence opportunities aligned with consulting services.
• Support strategic pursuits, teaming strategies, proposals, and client positioning.
• Connect opportunities with CIMA+'s Earth & Environment, Infrastructure, Buildings, Transportation, Energy, Water, Mining, Industrial, Advisory capabilities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary project delivery aligned with expertise.
• Support integration of Indigenous knowledge and perspectives into projects.
• Collaborate with leaders and technical teams across Ontario and Canada to increase cross-sector opportunities.
• Build a sustainable pipeline of Indigenous Relations and Defence work.
• Contribute to longer-term development of these services within CIMA+.
• Work with integrity and long-term relationships.
