Job summary

The role involves drafting and negotiating agreements, guiding IP matters, and coordinating with outside counsel on disputes, while supporting governance and corporate initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited school; Illinois bar admission.
• 4+ years of legal/business/transactional experience in corporate settings.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters and support C-suite.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and risk mitigation skills.
• Experience with FDA/FTC or regulatory compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop proactive legal risk frameworks.
• Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and data privacy.
• Draft/review contracts, licensing, vendor, and IP agreements.
• Advise directors and executives on corporate governance matters.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on disputes and litigation.
• Oversee insurance programs and incident handling.
