You will partner with executive leadership, apply AI-enabled analysis, and deliver measurable impact, guiding a team that blends business expertise with data analytics and responsible AI utilization.

Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Five years of experience in retail, supply chain, business analytics, consulting, corporate strategy, or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership managing cross-functional business initiatives.
• Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience using AI platforms to improve research, analysis, and decision making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bilingual Korean and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to set priorities and build the roadmap for enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
• Direct planning, execution, and implementation of projects across supply chain, merchandising, pricing, operating expenses, inventory, and profitability.
• Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate research, evaluate alternatives, benchmark competitors, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Validate AI-generated insights through data analysis and business judgment with cross-functional input.
• Establish success metrics, track results, and communicate measurable impact to executive leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team built on curiosity and collaboration.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI across the organization to boost productivity and decision making.

The Strategic Improvement Manager leads the AI-enabled Strategic Improvement Team at H Mart, driving enterprise-wide initiatives that improve profitability, supply chain performance, merchandising, and overall business results.

The Manager partners with executive leadership and subject matter experts to identify opportunities, apply AI-enabled analysis, and deliver measurable impact, leading a team that blends business expertise, data analytics, and generative AI to accelerate research, improve decisions, and continuously strengthen retail and distribution operations.

• Strategic Planning: Partner with executive leadership to set priorities and build the roadmap for enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
• Project Leadership: Direct the planning, execution, and implementation of projects across supply chain, merchandising, pricing, promotions, operating expenses, inventory, and profitability.
• AI-Enabled Analysis: Use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and emerging AI tools to accelerate research, evaluate alternatives, benchmark competitors, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Business Problem Solving: Validate AI-generated insights through data analysis, business judgment, collaboration with subject matter experts, and independent research.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish success metrics, track results, and communicate measurable business impact to executive leadership.
• Innovation: Identify opportunities to apply AI across the organization to boost productivity, automate repetitive work, and strengthen decision making.
• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team built on curiosity, collaboration, critical thinking, and continuous learning.
• Review, prioritize, approve, and manage departmental projects, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Foster a culture of innovation while maintaining high standards of analytical accuracy and business judgment.

Education and Qualification:

• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Five years of experience in retail, supply chain, business analytics, consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field.
