Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead our client's hygiene and sanitation programs across Welkom-based operations with remote oversight. The role requires deep food-safety knowledge, regulatory compliance, and robust program implementation to safeguard product integrity.

You will mentor a team of technicians and supervisors, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with regulators and auditors to ensure excellence in a complex production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5–7 years in hygiene management, preferably in food.
• Proven HACCP/GMP/ISO 22000 knowledge and sanitation program development.
• Strong leadership, communication and budget management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize hygiene and sanitation programs aligned with HACCP and GMP.
• Oversee sanitation activities, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead hygiene team, provide training, and manage performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Interact with regulators and auditors during inspections.
