Job summary

ICON Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with senior leadership and advise on human capital management, employee relations, and talent development. This role reports to the VP of People and is based on ICON's Austin campus.

You will scale ICON's people and talent practices by engaging stakeholders, developing HR strategies, and leading performance management and talent reviews across assigned units.

Qualifications

• 8+ years HR experience with at least 3 years as HRBP to senior leadership
• Experience as HR representative for MilCon and/or MilTech contracts
• Willingness to travel nationally up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to translate objectives into comprehensive human capital strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders in assigned business areas.
• Identify human capital management issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure unit HR practices comply with government contracting regulations and military tech standards.
• Develop and operate performance management frameworks for government contracts and project work.
• Support construction staffing partnerships and seasonal workforce planning.
• Advise on organizational structures and growth plans.
• Contribute to talent management practices including performance calibrations and succession planning.
• Provide coaching to assigned groups and escalate learning needs to the People team.
• Manage employee relations, investigate concerns, and apply company policy.
• Lead performance review cycles for assigned business units.
• Lead talent reviews for assigned business units.
• Support People team initiatives including rewards cycles, succession and headcount planning.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Collaborate with People Operations, Safety, and managers on leave with accommodations.
• Analyze and report on key People metrics.
