Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Manager, HR Shared Services to lead a broad HR services portfolio, including Labor Relations, Benefits, HR Operations, HRIS, and Legal Support.

You will set priorities, drive process improvements, and partner with senior leaders to align HR services with business needs. You will guide a diverse team, oversee HRIS strategy and data integrity, and champion scalable HR processes while ensuring compliant practices and employee-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading multiple HR disciplines or a broad HR operations/shared services portfolio.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing managers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of HR operations, employee relations, benefits, HRIS, talent development, and employment compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for the HR Shared Services organization.
• Establish priorities, operating rhythms, service expectations, and accountability across the team.
• Build partnerships across HR and the business to align services with needs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and standardize HR processes.
• Lead development and implementation of scalable HR processes, policies, and programs.
• Ensure HR practices comply with laws, policies, contracts, and CBAs.
