Overview

Manages, coordinates, prepares, and helps implement project plans to support HR operational initiatives. Manages defined projects or phases to identify, recommend, and implement efficiency improvements. Models appropriate behavior aligned with MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities

  • HR Compliance: Develops and maintains organization-wide guidelines, policies, practices, and the Associate Handbook to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, policies, and best practices. Manages HR policy development with annual regulatory reviews. Documents business processes, identifies issues, and implements solutions to enhance the associate experience. Assists in developing and implementing training programs. Creates executive summaries, business cases, and data-driven recommendations. Collaborates with legal to research legal changes, analyze impacts, and communicate findings. Demonstrates flexibility and creativity in implementing new initiatives requiring HR oversight.
  • Project Management: Leads process design and continuous improvement efforts with stakeholders across departments such as HR, IT, and Communications. Drives initiatives to enhance the associate experience. Manages project plans, monitors performance, and recommends corrective actions. Facilitates team-building and fosters mutual trust. Applies change management practices to execute HR initiatives. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration/Management

Experience

  • 3-5 years in Human Resources
  • Project management experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of project management practices
  • Ability to conduct benchmarking research and apply findings
  • Facilitation, influencing, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage through influence and provide consultative support
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database software like Access
  • Data analysis and translation into actionable insights

Certifications

  • Certified in Healthcare Human Resources (ACHHR)
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (HRCI)
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)

Physical Demands

  • Includes climbing, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive motions
  • Must have good balance and coordination
  • Light physical work, exerting up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Requires close visual acuity for data analysis and reading
