Job summary

Dymax, based in Torrington, CT, seeks an HR Business Partner to align HR strategy with business priorities. You will partner with leaders to build trusted relationships, support workforce planning, and provide practical, people-centered guidance that drives engaging teams and performance.

You will work to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, retention, and development while upholding safety and compliance across departments and shifts in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, performance management, recruiting, engagement, training, or HR operations.
• Foundational knowledge of employment laws and when to seek guidance.
• Consistent policy application with empathy and accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to support managers and coordinate HR processes.
• Comfort analyzing information and making practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders on business priorities and workforce planning, monitoring headcount, vacancies, and turnover.
• Provide employee relations and compliance support; guide through investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop manager capabilities and guidance on goal setting, feedback, and documentation.
• Support talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and positive employee experience.
• Coordinate performance reviews, succession planning, and high-potential development programs.
• Strengthen engagement and culture; support surveys, recognition, and inclusion efforts.
• Reinforce safety and employment compliance with HR and EHS on safety initiatives and required documentation.
• Support compensation, organizational and change initiatives with market information and communications.
