Job summary

Chimes is seeking a DC Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to provide expert HR support to employees and managers across the assigned subsidiary. The role combines in-office and virtual work in a hybrid setup, with a salary around $75,000 USD per year.

You will handle employee relations, investigations, onboarding, recruitment support, policy adherence, and development programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
• 2+ years of HR experience.
• Knowledge of state and Federal employment laws and agency policies.
• Ability to partner with employees at all levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of HRIS and talent management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable HR support to employees and managers of assigned subsidiary.
• Address employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and termination of employment.
• Conduct investigations into employee misconduct.
• Assist with New Employee Orientation, including completion of I-9s.
• Assist in facilitating recruitment efforts through events and other strategies.
• Administer the appeal and grievance processes and make recommendations for appropriate personnel action.
• Address unemployment issues, including attending unemployment hearings.
• Answer employee questions and direct employees to proper resources as needed.
• Assist in planning and implementing staff development programs such as mentoring, employee recognition, and career development as needed.
• Implement specialized employee programs as required.
• Attend and participate in required training, staff meetings, and other activities to facilitate professional development and foster improvement of the Agency.
